Centerstone To Launch New Illinois Employment Assistance Program For Ex-Offenders
Centerstone-Illinois is preparing to launch a new offender reentry employment assistance program in January 2016 for state and federal offenders. Funding for the new program is through a $1.3 million Training to Work 3 (T2W3) Reentry Employment Opportunities (REO) grant awarded by the federal Department of Labor (DOL) Employment and Training Administration (ETA) in June 2015. For the program, Centerstone-Illinois will provide case management, mentoring, education, vocational training, and employment placement assistance for about 170 ex-offenders in Jackson and Franklin counties.
