Five States Awarded Funding For New “No Wrong Door” Disability Service Access Initiatives

On October 16, 2015, the Administration for Community Living (ACL) announced it had awarded Alabama, Colorado, District of Columbia, Hawaii, and Virginia funding of more than $2 million each over three years to implement new “No Wrong Door” (NWD) initiatives to streamline access to disability support services. In the same announcement, ACL announced that another eight states (Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Oregon, Vermont, Washington, and Wisconsin) received funding to continue their work on NWD projects begun and funded by ACL in prior years.
