70% Of Medicaid Beneficiaries Were Enrolled In A Private Medicaid Health Plan In 2015

During 2015, more than 70% of Medicaid beneficiaries were enrolled in Medicaid managed care plan, up from 66% in 2014. Of the 194 private Medicaid managed care plans in 2015, 12 plans serve 56% of the Medicaid beneficiaries enrolled in a managed care plan

These findings were reported in “The Still Expanding State of Medicaid in the United States” by Ari Gottlieb, director at PwC Strategy. The report was presented at the Medicaid Health Plans of America's annual conference. Topics included a view of the Medicaid market, its growth potential, and assesses the continuing effect of Medicaid expansion.
