In 2014, Uninsured Rates The Lowest In Massachusetts; Highest In Texas

In 2014, the adult uninsured rate was lowest in the commonwealth of Massachusetts, at 3.3%, and highest in the state of Texas at 19.1%. Nationwide, the adult uninsured rate was 11.7%. Between 2010 and 2014, the nationwide uninsured rate dropped by 3.8 percentage points, from 15.5% in 2010 to the current 11.7%. In Massachusetts, the uninsured rate dropped from 4.4% to 3.3%, representing a drop of 25.6%. In Texas, the uninsured rate dropped from 23.8% to 19.1%, representing a drop of 19.6%.
