UnitedHealth Re-Evaluating Viability Of Its Health Insurance Marketplace Business

On November 19, 2015, UnitedHealth Group announced it was re-evaluating the viability of its UnitedHealthcare plans sold through the individual Health Insurance Marketplace. The company said UnitedHealthcare has pulled back on its marketing efforts for individual exchange products in 2016, while UnitedHealth Group determines to what extent it can continue to serve the public insurance Marketplace markets in 2017.
