Detroit-Wayne County Mental Health Authority Suspends Decision To Terminate Contract With Integrated Care Alliance

In mid-December 2015, the Detroit Wayne County Mental Health Authority (DWMHA) board reversed a decision to terminate the authority’s contract with Integrated Care Alliance, LLC (ICA), a developmental disability service provider organization that had been recently acquired by Molina Healthcare. In early December, the DWMHA chief executive officer (CEO) Tom Watkins had recommended terminating ICA’s contract valued at $48 million due to several contract violations.
