Virginia Medicaid Plans To Implement Managed LTSS In March 2017

The Virginia Medicaid program is planning to begin implementation of Medicaid managed long-term services and supports (MLTSS) by March 2017. The Virginia managed LTSS program is expected to enroll 129,500 dual eligibles and Medicaid-only enrollees statewide. The program will initially exclude individuals residing in intermediate care facilities for the people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and individuals with IDD enrolled in the IDD Medicaid waivers that provide home-and community-based services.
