Three New York Skilled Nursing Facilities Form Management Services Organization
On January 6, 2016, three unrelated non-profit nursing homes in the Rochester, New York region announced plans to form a separate management services organization (MSO) that will provide administrative services for all three facilities: Fairport Baptist Homes, Kirkhaven, and Wesley Gardens. The three nursing home provider organizations have a combined budget of about $50 million, and nearly 500 beds. The founders anticipate finalizing the MSO agreement in early summer 2016.
This new approach is not a merger; each facility will continue to operate independently under its own name, its own board of directors, and will employ its own staff . . .
