12.7 Million People Enrolled In Health Insurance Marketplace Plans For 2016

As of January 31, 2016, about 12.7 million people were enrolled in a Health Insurance Marketplace plan through the federal HealthCare.gov website. About 3.1 million were automatically re-enrolled in the plan they selected last year, and the remaining 9.6 million selected a plan through HealthCare.gov during the open enrollment period, which ran from November 1, 2015 to January 31, 2016.
