Feds Approve Oregon Health Authority’s Redeveloped Medicaid Managed Care Rates

On January 1, 2016, the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) implemented a new managed care rate methodology for its Medicaid coordinated care organizations (CCOs). The new approach is regional, and the regional rates are further risk adjusted for each CCO’s enrolled members. All CCOs within a region start with the same base rate. Statewide, the gross overall rates will increase 2.9% compared to the revised 2015 rates.
