Texting Can Boost Medication Adherence For People With Chronic Health Conditions

Among adults with chronic health conditions, those who participated in mobile phone text messaging programs focused on medication adherence were twice as likely to take medications as directed. At baseline, about 50% took medications as directed; about 67.8% of those who participated in a text messaging program took medications as directed.
