DOL Law Judge Orders Ohio Board Of DD Sheltered Workshop To Pay Minimum Wage
On February 2, 2016, a federal administrative law judge with the Department of Labor (DOL) ordered the Seneca County, Ohio, Board of Developmental Disabilities to ensure that three participants of its sheltered workshop receive minimum wage. The order concerned Seneca Re-Ad, which contracts with the county board to provide employment for people with developmental disabilities who are unable to obtain competitive employment due to the constraints of their disabilities.
