South Carolina Medicaid Launches Pay-For-Success Project To Expand Nurse-Family Partnership Home Visiting Services
On February 16, 2016, the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS) announced it was launching a Medicaid pay-for-success project that will expand the Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) program. The goal is to reduce preterm births, decrease child hospitalization and emergency department usage due to injury, improve healthy spacing between births, and increase the number of first-time mothers served in the lowest-income communities.
