Cook County, Illinois To Open Mental Health Triage Center To Expand Treatment Access

On February 29, 2016 the Cook County Health and Hospitals System (CCHHS) in Illinois announced plans to open a pilot mental health crisis triage center during 2016 as part of a multi-pronged approach to expand access to behavioral health services. The pilot Community Triage Center (CTC) will operate 24 hours per day, seven days a week to provide early intervention services for people who are at risk of detention or hospitalization due to behavioral health conditions.
