California Department of Education Making Funding Available To Mainstream Students With Disabilities

The California Department of Education’s (CDE) special education division is planning to make additional state funding available to local education agencies to mainstream students with disabilities as much as possible. The new funding will be through the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF), which provides funds and resources for extra supports for high-need general education students in three target populations: low-income students, those in foster care, and English language learners, but not students with disabilities.
