Georgia Agrees To Modified & Extended ADA Settlement Agreement For Developmental Disability System
On May 18, 2016, the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) and the federal Department of Justice announced reaching an extension agreement to allow the state more time improve services for people with developmental disabilities. The agreement modifies the original terms of the state’s 2010 Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) settlement agreement.
