Integra Community Care Network & UnitedHealthcare Community Plan Launch First Rhode Island Medicaid Pilot ACO

On April 14, 2016, Integra Community Care Network, LLC, (Integra) and UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Rhode Island announced that they launched a Medicaid accountable care organization (ACO). UnitedHealthcare is collaborating with physician groups as part of the State of Rhode Island’s three-year Medicaid Accountable Entities (AE) pilot to improve coordination of care for Medicaid beneficiaries. This is the first ACO to be launched in the pilot. More than 20,000 people enrolled in UnitedHealthcare’s Medicaid health plans in Rhode Island will benefit from this collaboration.
