Connecticut Implementing Emergency Room Data Exchange to Track Critical Incident Among Group Home Residents With Developmental Disabilities

The Connecticut Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is developing a system that permits monitoring of emergency room information for group home residents with developmental disabilities. The system will use a data exchange agreement that allows the department to access Medicaid claims data to better detect unreported or unrecorded critical incidents involving group home residents.
