Republicans Release Health Care Proposal To Replace Obamacare
On June 22, 2016, the Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives released the Republican Party’s health care proposal for replacing the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), which is colloquially called “Obamacare.” The Republican proposal, called, “A Better Way,” would make changes to the individual health insurance market, the small group market, Medicaid, and Medicare. The plan provides talking points, but few specifics in terms of cost, projected savings, or number of people affected.
