OPEN MINDS Announces Revision To Children’s Services Program To Better Focus On The Evolving Challenges Of Child-Serving Organizations

“The Next Generation Forum On Children’s Services” will focus more on emerging program models and the sustainability of child-serving organizations

Gettysburg, Pa. (July 10, 2016) Executives of children’s services organizations have been hard hit by a number of market challenges – budget restraints, managed care, increased competition, rate and reimbursement changes, new performance measurement and outcome requirements – just to name a few. With the health and human services market continuing to evolve and change, children’s services organizations must find new and innovative models and strategies to remain sustainable. To help children’s services executives combat the challenges of organizational sustainability and management, OPEN MINDS has changed the model and benefits of its “Leadership Council For Children’s Services” program to focus on these areas.

To better reflect this new focus on emerging program models and organizational sustainability, OPEN MINDS has changed the name of this exclusive executive group for child-serving organizations to “The Next Generation Forum On Children’s Services.” This new program offers similar benefits to the “Leadership Council for Children’s Services” program with some slight changes. The benefits include:

  • Weekly Executive Updates – Members will continue receive an e-mail update each week from OPEN MINDS senior associate, Howard Shiffman, MA, discussing and providing analysis of recent developments in the children’s services market.
  • Successful Program Case Study Webinar Presentations Members will now be able to participate in bi-monthly case study presentations that profile successful cutting edge services in the children’s services field. The webinars will be interactive – and attendees can both send questions in advance or ask them during the live session. The sessions will be recorded and archived for future reference.
  • Annual Children’s Services Industry Briefing & Networking Session Each year, all members have the opportunity to participate in a full-day executive session that includes both a briefing on the issues facing child-serving organizations and the market trends shaping strategy. The session is exclusive to members of “The Next Generation Forum On Children’s Services” and provides an opportunity for children’s services executives to share their own perspectives on these trends and issues – and discuss them with OPEN MINDS senior advisors. (The next annual gathering will be February 15, 2017 in Clearwater Beach, Florida.)
  • Annual Registration To The OPEN MINDS Performance Management InstituteMembers will receive a registration to the OPEN MINDS Performance Management Institute in Clearwater Beach, Florida, where they can participate in additional executive-level discussions on market changes and trends affecting the entire health & human services industry. This is a unique forum for gathering ideas, sharing opinions, and networking with colleagues in the national child welfare marketplace.
