Missouri Law Requires Outsourcing Of Social Service Eligibility Determination

A new Missouri law requires the Missouri Department of Social Services (DSS) to contract with a private company by January 1, 2017, to verify people’s eligibility for benefits through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), child care subsidies, Medicaid, and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF).
