Chicago Public Schools Focusing On Charter School Outcomes
During the 2015-2016 school year, the Chicago Public Schools (CPS) Board of Education increased its focus on improving charter school outcomes and accountability to charter school contract retention and ability to open new campuses. In October 2015, the Board approved new performance standards for charter schools to ensure that the charter schools met the same standards as traditional CPS schools.
