Georgia Medicaid Awards New Georgia Families Contracts, Including Georgia Families 360 For Youth In Foster Care

In September 2016, the Georgia Department of Community Health (DCH) awarded Medicaid care management organization (CMO) services to four managed care organizations (MCOs). Amerigroup Community Care of Georgia will provide regional CMO services for Georgia Families and PeachCare for children, as well as the Georgia Families 360° program for youth in foster care. CMO contracts were also awarded to incumbents Wellcare of Georgia and Peach State Health Plan, and to a new vendor, CareSource. Services under the new contract become effective July 1, 2017.
