Texas Foster Care Redesign Estimated To Generate ROI Of $3 To $1

For each dollar the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) spends on implementing and supporting its foster care redesign initiative, the state will reap a projected return on investment (ROI) of $3.44. Local jurisdictions will see an estimated return of $1.66 in local revenue.

The estimated ROI was reported in “An Assessment of the Economic Implications of Redesigning the Foster Care System in Selected Counties and the State of Texas” by researchers with The Perryman Group.
