Sarasota YMCA Contracts With National Youth Advocate Program For Foster Care Services

The Sarasota YMCA Safe Children Coalition has entered into an agreement with National Youth Advocate Program (NYAP) to provide specialized foster care. Under this contract, NYAP will provide specialized training, ongoing support, and a financial stipend to the foster parents it recruits. These foster homes will serve youth with special needs, such as emotional or behavioral challenges or minor medical needs. Other youth may face issues such as being pregnant or parenting, or being lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or questioning.
