Arizona Named Best U.S. State For Inclusion Of People With I/DD
Arizona, Vermont, New Hampshire, Michigan, and Hawaii are the top-ranked states in 2016 based on how well their policies support independent, community living for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). The five lowest ranked states are Illinois, Montana, Arkansas, Texas, and Mississippi.
The rankings were reported in “The Case for Inclusion, 2016” by UCP. The Case for Inclusion ranks all 50 States and the District of Columbia (DC) not on their spending but on their outcomes for Americans with I/DD.
