FDA Clears J&J Platform For Wireless Transmissions Of Blood Glucose Data For Real-Time Diabetes Management

On December 14, 2016, LifeScan Inc., a subsidiary of the Johnson & Johnson (J&J) Diabetes Care Companies, announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) had approved its application to wirelessly transmit blood glucose data collected by its OneTouch Verio Flex to the BlueStar clinically validated diabetes management platform. LifeScan will integrate with the BlueStar platform to create a digital health solution via Bluetooth capability for people living with Type 2 diabetes. BlueStar is owned by WellDoc.
