North Dakota Medicaid Plans To Align HCBS Waivers For Older Adults & Those With Physical Disabilities

The North Dakota Department of Human Services (DHS) Aging Services Division is planning to align its Medicaid 1915(c) Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) waivers for older adults and those with physical disabilities. Part of the alignment will shift oversight for the waivers from the DHS Medical Services Division to the Aging Services Division.

The HCBS Medicaid waiver serves older adults and people with physical disabilities who are 18 years of age and older. The Technology Dependent Medicaid waiver provides service options for individual 18 years of age and older who are ventilator-dependent for a minimum of 20 . . .
