Following Reprocurement, Pennsylvania Selects New Medicaid Health Plans
On January 5, 2017, the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS) announced the start of negotiations with six managed care organizations (MCOs) selected to deliver physical health services to 2.2 million state residents enrolled in the Medicaid HealthChoices program. The selected MCOs are: Gateway Health; Geisinger Health Plan; Health Partners Plans; PA Health and Wellness; UPMC for You; and Vista’s Keystone First Health Plan and AmeriHealth Caritas Health Plan. The contracts are valued at $12 billion during the initial three-year period.
