Washington Medicaid Expanding Fully Integrated Model To North Central Counties In January 2018

The Medicaid plan in Washington State is taking the next step in its implementation of its fully-integrated physical health/behavioral health model. Starting on January 1, 2018, the state’s new behavioral health approach called Apple Health—Fully Integrated Managed Care (FIMC), will start in north central Washington in Grant, Chelan, and Douglas counties. They would be the second group to adopt the FIMC approach. The model will become mandatory for all counties by 2020.
