Alabama Medicaid Loses 5 Probationary RCOs, Offers New Regions To Remaining 3 Probationary RCOs

On February 28, 2017, Alabama Medicaid announced that five Alabama Healthcare Advantage (AHA) organizations planning to operate as Regional Care Organizations in the fall of 2017 were dropping out. The five had been among eight probationary RCOs working toward RCO status for the October 1, 2017, launch. The remaining three probationary RCOs are Alabama Community Care Inc. and My Care Alabama Inc., both serve Region A; and Alabama Community Care Inc., which serves Region C.
