Pierce County, Washington, Countersues Conmed Over Breach Of Jail Medical Services Contract
On March 29, 2017, the government of Pierce County, Washington, filed a countersuit against Conmed, the county’s former jail medical services contractor, for breach of contract. Conmed, now a subsidiary of Correct Care Solutions (CCS), was the county’s jail medical services provider organization from February 2014 through August 2015.
The County asserts that from the beginning of its contract, it had pointed out Conmed’s failure to provide adequate staffing.
