Ohio Expands Contract With CoreCivic For 996 More Beds At The 2,016-Bed Northeast Ohio Correctional Center

The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (ODRC) expanded its private prison contract with CoreCivic, Inc. to an additional 996 beds at the 2,016-bed Northeast Ohio Correctional Center (NOCC). CoreCivic announced the expansion on April 11, 2017. Financial terms were not disclosed. The initial term of the amended contract continues through June 2032 with unlimited renewal options, subject to appropriations. CoreCivic anticipates that its amended contract with Ohio will generate approximately $21.0 million to $24.0 million in annualized revenue.
