Maine DHHS Launches Opioid Health Homes, Currently Accepting Applications
On April 11, 2017, Maine Medicaid began accepting applications from provider organizations interested in serving as opioid health homes (OHH) for MaineCare members or uninsured individuals. The OHHs will provide medication-assisted treatment, medical consultation, counseling, care coordination, and peer recovery coaching. Services for Medicaid beneficiaries will be funded through MaineCare; services for the uninsured will be grant funded. The legislature allocated about $3 million to pay for the OHH services.
