Ohio Medicaid Launching New Behavioral Health Coding & Billing On January 1, 2018
On June 19, 2017, the Ohio Governor’s Office of Health Transformation, the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS) and the Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) announced that the state was ready to launch new behavioral health coding and billing developed for its behavioral health redesign. As of January 1, 2018, ODM plans to carve behavioral health services into its Medicaid managed care plans.
