New Jersey To Launch $30 Million Performance-Based Enhanced Care Management Program For Opioid Use Disorder
The New Jersey Department of Human Services, Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) is preparing to launch a performance-based enhanced care management (ECM) program valued at $30 million annually that will serve individuals with an opioid use disorder (OUD). The ECM program will be available statewide to 5,400 individuals with high acuity OUD as determined by DSM-5 criteria, or a previous opioid overdose episode. The ECM will pay for services not reimbursed from other DMHAS Initiatives, private insurance, or Medicaid.
