Arkansas Medicaid To Launch Provider-Led Shared Savings Entities For Members With Developmental Disabilities Or Mental Illness
On October 1, 2017, the Arkansas Department of Human Services (DHS) began implementing the Medicaid Provider-led Arkansas Shared Savings Entity (PASSE) organized care model to coordinate care for about 30,000 beneficiaries with a developmental disability (about 8,000 people) or serious mental illness (about 22,000 people). A PASSE is a risk-based organized care system formed as a partnership between regional provider organizations that deliver specialty and medical services for beneficiaries with developmental disability or mental illness and an administrative services organization.
