CRANIUM Cardiovascular Screening Intervention For People With SMI Costs Under $100 Per Person
A new community mental health center-based cardiovascular screening intervention, called CRANIUM, for people with serious mental illness (SMI) costs under $100 per person. CRANIUM stands for “cardiometabolic risk assessment and treatment through a novel integration model for underserved populations with mental illness.” It is a type of collaborative care model (CCM) for CMHCs. For a pilot CMHC that implemented CRANIUM, the cost was about $74 per person per year.
