Los Angeles County Launches First Pay-For-Success Project: ‘Just In Reach’ Supportive Housing Program
On October 3, 2017, Los Angeles County, California, announced the launch of the county’s first Pay for Success (PFS) project, “The Just-in-Reach (JIR) Supportive Housing Program.” Managed by Los Angeles County Health Services' Office of Diversion and Reentry, the health-based housing program is intended to reduce jail re-incarceration rates among homeless individuals, increase the participants' housing stability, and contribute to an overall reduction in net costs to the county's public service system.
