Magellan Behavioral Health Of Pennsylvania Investigating Mistreatment Reports At Woods Services

Magellan Behavioral Health Of Pennsylvania (Magellan) is investigating Woods Services due to allegations that children under Magellan's care were maltreated while receiving residential services at its Langhorne, Pennsylvania campus. Woods Services provides special education, and adult day services; and a residential program that provides housing and supports for about 650 children and adults (ages 5 through 80) with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The residents are from 31 different states, including Pennsylvania and nearby New Jersey, New York, and West Virginia, as well as the District of Columbia. Magellan manages Medicaid behavioral health benefits in six Pennsylvania counties.
