Oregon To Update Individual Support Planning Process For People With I/DD

The Oregon Department of Human Services (DHS) is planning to update its individual support planning (ISP) process for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). The DHS Office of Developmental Disability Service intends to adopt a person-centered process called Charting the LifeCourse Framework, that enhances strategies based on a person's strengths, and recognizes a person's “whole life” rather than a focus only on Medicaid-funded services.

In addition to this new approach to service planning, in July 2018, DHS is implementing a new Oregon Needs Assessment (ONA) tool, a uniform assessment to identify service level groups . . .
