Microsoft Founder Bill Gates Invests $100 Million To Fight Alzheimer’s Disease
On November 13, 2017, Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft, announced that he planned to invest $100 million in research ventures seeking a cure for Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. He invested $50 million in the Dementia Discovery Fund (DDF), and another $50 million will go to start-up ventures.
The DDF, managed by SV Health, is a venture fund focused entirely on discovering and developing novel therapies for dementia.
