Defense Department Halts Electronic Health Records Rollout

The Defense Department recently announced it is putting MHS Genesis – its commercial electronic health records (EHR) rollout – on hold for an eight week period. During that time, the department will be assessing the effectiveness of the platform to date.

The decision comes in the wake of the department having received an excessive number of “trouble tickets” from users of the EHR platform.
