On January 19, 2018, the New Mexico Human Services Department (HSD) selected two incumbents, Blue Cross Blue Shield New Mexico and Presbyterian Health Plan, and one newcomer, Western Sky Community Care (Centene Corporation) as the Medicaid health plans for Centennial Care 2.0. Incumbents Molina Healthcare of New Mexico and UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of New Mexico submitted bids, but were not awarded contracts. No additional bidders were announced.
