Dallas Fire & Police Departments Launch RIGHT Care Pilot Program

On January 29, 2018, the Dallas Fire-Rescue Department and the Police Department launched the Rapid Integrated Group Healthcare Team Care (RIGHT Care) pilot program. The program will provide a comprehensive emergency response to calls involving behavioral health emergencies. The program is in partnership with the Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute and Parkland Health & Hospital System

The RIGHT Care program includes specially trained and equipped police officers, paramedics, and mental health professionals who will respond as a team to safely and effectively manage individuals experiencing behavioral emergencies.
