VA Launches Pilot Telemedicine Program For Rural Veterans With PTSD

On March 6, 2018, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) announced it launched a pilot telehealth program to provide rural veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) remote access to psychotherapy and related services. The program is called Telemedicine Outreach for PTSD (TOP); it is supported by the VA Office of Rural Health, in partnership with VA's Quality Enhancement Research Initiative. The pilot program is a study to test the effectiveness of TOP.
