Eckerd Connects Asks Florida DCF To Cover $5.1 Million Operating Deficit For Hillsborough County Foster Care
On February 28, 2018, the Eckerd Connects board members for Hillsborough County, Florida learned that the organization has a $5.1 million operating deficit on its Community-Based Care (CBC) lead agency contract in Hillsborough County. Eckerd believes the cause of the deficit is a 44% increase over the past three years in the number of children in foster care.
