Judge Grants Class Action Status To Ohio I/DD Segregation Lawsuit

On March 30, 2018, a lawsuit against the State of Ohio filed by individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) protesting segregated living settings was granted class action status. The complaint is Ball v. Kasich; the plaintiffs allege that current state policies force them to enter institutional care to receive supportive living services due to lack of adequate home- and community-based options.
