Minnesota Medicaid Rebids Special Needs BasicCare Plans For People With Disabilities
On March 12, 2018, the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) issued a request for proposals (RFP) to rebid the Medicaid Special Needs BasicCare (SNBC) plans for 25 counties. Proposals are due by May 23, 2018. The contracts are slated to start January 1, 2019.
PrimeWest and South County Alliance have provided SNBC plans since January 1, 2014 in the 25 counties included in the rebid. Additionally, HealthPartners, Medica, Hennepin Health, and UCare provide SNBC plans in counties not included in the rebid.
