Smokey Point Behavioral Health Partners With Schools For On-Site Mental Health Services
Smokey Point Behavioral Health recently announced it is partnering with three local high schools to provide free mental health services for students. Services are planned to take place during the school year, and are anticipated to continue next year, as well.
Specifically, the services will entail a mental health counselor who provides brief intervention therapy and crisis intervention for students at the schools. The counselors will then have the discretion to determine whether or not a student needs additional services; if a student does need additional services, they will be provided with a list of provider organizations and care options . . .
